Starbucks has unveiled its highly anticipated 2017 holiday cup. It comes with a color-it-in-yourself message: "Give Good."
The coffee giant wants you to get creative with your holiday cup this year. Now available, the new cup looks a bit different from previous years. One noticeable difference is the lack of the trademark red color that encompassed the entire cup, and this has been done for a reason. Starbucks wants its customers to "Give Good."
The company wants to encourage folks to hold the door open for someone, say "hi" to a stranger, among other acts of kindness, because "once good starts, it keeps going and growing from one person to the next." https://twitter.com/Starbucks/status/925752664461209600
The cup has a pair of hands holding red cups of coffee that are connected with swirls of ribbon and other fun holiday scenes in red and green. Leanne Fremar, executive creative director for Starbucks, said in a statement
This year's cup is intentionally designed to encourage our customers to add their own color and illustrations. We love the idea of everyone making this year's cup their own."
The arrival of the holiday cup also brings back favorite festive drinks like Peppermint Mocha, Chestnut Praline Latte, and Caramel Brulée Latte. What do you think of the new holiday cup?
