If you don't have plans yet, the eight-day Annapolis Arts Week starts on June 3 and is two weekends of food, fun, art, music and more.

Annapolis’ Arts Week is set to kickoff June 3 and will run through June 11. The event will feature performing arts, live music, gallery exhibits and block parties. Annapolis Arts Week 2017 celebrates the diversity of the town’s arts scene, four events will be bundled into one, the First Sunday Arts Festival, Paint Annapolis, Annapolis Irish Festival and the Annapolis Arts and Wine Festival will all take place at different times throughout the week. The four main festivals happening during the week each provide visitors a different experience with activities ranging from painting, live art demos and crafts to live music and food and drinks. Whether you want to sample fine cuisine and wine or checkout the live music and art, this year’s fest promises to be lots of fun. The Arts and Wine Festival portion of the week-long festivities will take place June 10 and 11 at the Navy-Marine Corps Stadium. The Arts Council of Anne Arundel County, Visit Annapolis & Anne Arundel County, members of the Annapolis arts community and the Symmetry Agency of Annapolis are putting on the event so that visitors and area residents can explore the arts and enjoy all that the local scene has to offer. By showcasing the depth and scope of the Annapolis scene, organizers attempt to show visitors that Annapolis’ arts scene is alive, well and thriving. This year will mark the inaugural Annapolis Arts Week, which has been four months in the making.  Local officials and organizers had already been attempting to revive the Arts and Wine Festival, as well as to expand public exposure of the local arts scene and decided to bundle the festival with the three other arts festivals to create a weeklong celebration of all things creative and fun.
Area residents and visitors who are up for a festival now will have the opportunity to enjoy food, culture and three stages of Irish Music on June 2 and 3, while on Sunday, June 4 the First Sunday Arts Festival will give art lovers the chance to view the work of over 130 local crafters and artists. The Paint Celebration, put on by The Maryland Federation of Art will go down June 4 through 11 and highlights the work of plein air painters of the local area and beyond. On June 10 and 11, the annual Arts and Wine Festival will this year feature lots of the new artists, while the weeklong arts celebration will culminate in two days of interactive painting and an Artist Pavilion that Anne Arundel County’s Arts Council will present for the first time. Annapolis As for food and refreshments, 14 food trucks will be on hand at the festival’s Food Truck Rodeo.  Art lovers can select from a variety of sweet and savory food, snack and dessert items while 25 of Maryland’s Wineries will also be on hand alongside 11 local bands playing live music.  In addition to the musical entertainment on the festival grounds, countless live shows at local clubs and bars are scheduled throughout the week and include lots of local and national Blues and Jazz bands and much, much more.  Classes and workshops are scheduled as well while the block parties are sure to be lively and fun.
