Built In Colorado, a startup and tech website, has developed a list of 50 Colorado Startups to watch in 2017. As the need for different services grow and evolve, our tech is catching up, and fast. It’s astounding to see the innovation that has sprung from the minds of these companies! These impressive tech startups are innovating like never before, only to benefit our daily lives.
While we may not have the space or attention span to discuss them all like they did - Here are our favorite picks from the list, and a few of our own notable mentions.
Baker Technologies:
No longer do you have to do your own digging and searching for the best deals in finding bud. Baker aims to improve the buying experience for marijuana consumers and retailers. Their tech lets retailers create different systems to track customers, create loyalty programs and send deals and updates through email or SMS. They’ve been growing since 2015 and have expanded to 200 retailers and dispensaries over six different states. THEY’RE HIRING!
BASE Education:
BASE Education provides “at-risk” students with Social Emotional Learning through cutting edge processes and tech. Schools, court systems and mental health organizations utilize BASE to build revolutionary connections with students, developing alternatives to suspension and expulsion while preventing and resisting bullying and student suicides. The tech utilizes language processing tools to recognize when a student may be considering causing self-harm or harm to others. They launched in August of 2016 and have already prevented 17 potential suicides and three acts of school violence while giving hundreds of kids the assistance they require.
PIN Business Network:
This Colorado startup has been building up since 2010, but after some rebranding and massive growth in the past year, they earn a spot on this Colorado startup list. PIN stands for Power In Numbers, and is the first
co-op marketing platform of its kind. They have a huge community reach, utilizing innovative tactics, creative and technical, to drive results for businesses. They adjust their services to their clients needs, while providing the information, services, and content they’re looking for. THEY ARE HIRING!
DispatchHealth
House calls are making a comeback. DispatchHealth allows users to call up urgent care services to their home or office. Just download the app and in a few steps you’ll be directly connected to DispatchHealth’s medical team. You’ll be “triaged, cared for and back on your feet in no time.” The service offers treatment for: common ailments; ear, nose and throat infections or pain; skin rashes, infections, lacerations, and lesions; gastrointestinal issues; joint or back pain; respiratory issues; and urinary issues in both men and women. Save money, connect with your community, and reduce waste with this Colorado startup. Fluid is a free app you can download that connects you with others in your community. The app allows users to search and post items the need or aren’t using for others to basically rent from you for a certain amount of time. This concept is great for not only saving money, but for smart consumerism while joining members of the community together. You can post or rent anything from power tools to a
Tesla Model X. Overall if you want a cheap way to rent say, skis or a snowboard, while meeting some people you would otherwise never know, this is the app for you. THEY ARE HIRING!
Let’s Be Chefs:
This handy concept allows you to become a chef in your own kitchen. We don't all have time or the knowledge to shop and cook healthy meals. Let’s Be Chefs sends users custom menus and weekly shopping lists. It even tells you what times to start cooking! The app just launched and anyone with iOS or Android can hop on and start cooking!
