Free Slurpee, anyone?

7-Eleven has been generous through the years by offering free Slurpees on 7-Eleven Day (July 11), a day in which anyone can walk in and grab their favorite Slurpee. This year, fans are in for a surprise.
"Gathering nine million of our closest friends in stores on one day just didn't feel right," company senior vice president Marissa Jarratt said about last year's 7-Eleven Day. It had been canceled due to COVID-19 restrictions ... Which has led to the big change this year: 7-Eleven is having Free Slurpee Month instead!
Yes, you read that right. Instead of 7-Eleven's Free Slurpee Day, the company will allow people to add a coupon for a free small Slurpee on the 7Rewards loyalty app. This coupon can be redeemed any time during July, so people can choose whatever day in July they want to grab their free Slurpee at 7-Eleven.
Jarratt elaborated further on the benefits of 7-Eleven's Free Slurpee Month, saying, "While we're celebrating our birthday month, we are also mindful that the Covid-19 pandemic has had a lasting impact on many families ... We know how important it is to come together and help the communities we serve in times of trouble. Our commitment to provide one million meals this year and in 2020, along with our Round Up for Rewards program this winter, bookends an impactful year."
The company will thus be donating at least one million meals to Feeding America this year.
During July, fans can also buy any grilled item, including taquitos, Buffalo chicken rollers, and egg rolls, for just one dollar, with birthday cake donuts going for 50 cents to members!
For fans of 7-Eleven, the month of July will definitely be a gift! Happy 94th Birthday, 7-Eleven!
