Move over Ben and Jerry’s; there’s a new specialty ice cream pint in town.
The ever-popular and always-packed Cheesecake Factory restaurant chain is releasing seven of their most popular cheesecake flavors in the form of ice cream. What a brilliant idea! These pints of delight are purported to hit the frozen section of grocery stores by March and retail for $4.99 each.
The ice cream's base is a combination of sour cream and the Cheesecake Factory’s hallmark cream cheese blend. Each flavor has its own specialty swirl throughout the pint.
The delightful seven flavors are (descriptions courtesy of People.com):
- Birthday Cake: premium cake-flavored cheesecake ice cream with a signature cream cheese blend, sour cream, cake pieces, swirls of icing, and candy sprinkles
- Chocolate: premium chocolate cheesecake ice cream with a signature cream cheese blend, sour cream, and rich chocolate fudge swirls
- Cookies & Cream: premium cookies & cream cheesecake ice cream with a signature cream cheese blend, sour cream, and chocolate cookie swirls
- Key Lime: premium key lime cheesecake ice cream with a signature cream cheese blend, sour cream, and graham swirls
- Original: premium cheesecake ice cream with a signature cream cheese blend, sour cream, and graham swirls
- Salted Caramel: premium caramel cheesecake ice cream with a signature cream cheese blend, sour cream, sea salt caramel, and graham swirls
- Strawberry: premium strawberry cheesecake ice cream with a signature cream cheese blend, sour cream, strawberry, and graham swirls
Now to decide which one to try first … Well, we have until the March release to make this very important decision.
Hey, I just got an idea! Let's splurge and buy all seven flavors and host a Cheesecake Factory ice cream tasting party! Now that would be super-decadent and super-fun. I always love an excuse to gather my friends with a great party theme, and I can’t think of a better one! Calories don’t count when eating pints of The Cheesecake Factory ice cream in your own home amongst friends; I know there is a rule somewhere.
