Back in March, Crayola broke the hearts of many when they announced that the classic color Dandelion was retiring from the 24-crayon box for the first time in over 100 years. This gapping hole that dandelion left had the folks at Crayola itching to share a new color with the world. Thanks to the smart individuals at Oregon State University and their discovery of a new shade of blue called, YInMn Blue, the crayon maker has decided to use the newfound color as the perfect replacement for the recent loss of Dandelion. The only problem is that they are unsure of what to call the new crayon color... That's where you come in! Between now and June 2, fans have the opportunity to submit their suggestions for the name of the brand new Crayola crayon! All you've got to do is submit your name idea to Crayola, and on July 1, they'll announce the top five color names, giving fans the chance to vote for their favorite through August. crayola The winner will be announced in September, along with six grand prize winners. You could win a $100 Crayola prize!
