"The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear"—or, in this case, by ordering a "Buddy the Elf" Frappuccino at your local Starbucks! Elf is easily one of my top three favorite Christmas movies, and may even be my No. 1. So, when I heard that you can order a "Buddy the Elf" Frappuccino off of Starbucks' secret menu, I was all ears. While I'll admit most of the themed concoctions that people come up with don't exactly sound appealing, this one actually sounds pretty good.
It also combines ingredients from two of my favorite drinks (matcha green tea latte and peppermint mocha, for those inquiring minds). The Buddy the Elf-themed beverage was created by two mom bloggers at TotallytheBomb.com, who just wanted to spread a little holiday cheer.
How to Order a 'Buddy the Elf' Frappuccino Off Starbucks' Secret Menu
- Ingredients
- Matcha Green Tea Frappuccino
- Peppermint syrup
- Whipped cream
- Christmas sprinkles
- Instructions
- Order a Matcha Green Tea Frappuccino with peppermint instead of the classic syrup.
- Ask your barista to top it with whipped cream and the red and white Christmas sprinkles they use on the toasted white mocha.
The combination does sound strange, but it's just so festive and cheerful that it's hard not to want to give it a try. Please remember, though, this is not an actual menu item! If you ask for a Buddy the Elf Frappuccino, there's a good chance your kind barista will look at you like you're crazy. You need to give them the recipe outlined above (and I'm sure a tip wouldn't hurt.)
How about a Grinch Frappuccino or Cindy Lou Who Frappuccino?
