Get ready for the sounds of fellow moviegoers sucking Cheetos dust off their fingers. Not to mention bright orange stainage on the plush cinema seats.
That's right. Frito-Lay and Regal Cinemas have combined their efforts to create a one-of-a-kind snack -- Cheetos Popcorn, available exclusively at Regal movie theaters. The cheesy concoction consists of Cheetos-flavored popcorn and actual Crunchy Cheetos themselves, all mixed together and presented in a 32-ounce cup. While we're certain this is a just a clever marketing move by Regal to ensure that everybody sees The Last Jedi at one of their cinemas during the holidays, we're certainly not complaining. In fact, we're hoping this is more than just a promotion and that Cheetos Popcorn ends up as a permanent part of the concessions stand menu.
“Cheetos Popcorn is our gift to Regal fans enjoying their favorite movie this holiday season,” John Curry, senior vice-president of foodservice at Regal Cinemas, stated in a press release. “We are thrilled to partner with an iconic brand like Cheetos to deliver blockbuster snack choices to moviegoers.”
The new cheesy popcorn mix was rolled out at some Regal Cinemas concession stands on December 11, and it will debut at more locations on Friday, December 22. Click here to see which Regal theaters will serve it!
