The Christmas holidays may be over but Starbucks is keeping things exciting with some new menu additions. The new winter items will begin landing in stores on January 5 and include cold and hot drinks, healthy breakfast egg bites, and yummy desserts. Starbucks will also be offering two new whole bean bagged coffees from Guatemala and Ethiopia. Last month the coffee chain announced it would be adding oat milk sometime this spring, joining coconut, and soy and almond milk as dairy milk alternatives.
Starbucks is adding two hot drinks, a pistachio latte, and honey almond milk flat white. Inspired by Starbucks Reserve coffee, the pistachio latte is made with milk infused with pistachios and topped with a salted brown butter topping. The pistachio latte is also available as a cold beverage. The honey almond milk flat white is made with Starbucks blonde espresso for a lighter version of your basic flat white espresso. A cold brew version of this drink called the honey almond milk cold brew is also available.

On the food front, Starbucks has introduced a new sous vide egg bite to help you get a jump on that New Year’s diet. The kale and portabella mushroom egg bites are made with cage-free eggs, kale, portabella mushrooms, and Monterey Jack cheese and pack 15 grams of protein into a 250-calorie breakfast. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Starbucks has baked up a red velvet loaf cake. Each slice of white and red swirled cake is topped off with chocolate icing. This last one may not be available in April for Earth Day, but it's still good enough to eat right now. The Earth Day cake pop is made with chocolate cake, dipped in blue icing, and topped with white and green nonpareils.

If you like to buy your coffee beans in-store, you can try two new ones this winter, Starbucks Reserve Guatemala Huehuetenango and Starbucks Reserve Ethiopia Yirgacheffe® Chelelektu. The coffees and menu items are available through the winter or while supplies last.
