Limited-edition bourbon inspired by the show will be out just in time for the new season.
The Walking Dead's 10th season is set to release on October 6, with new challenges and threats to face in the world of walkers and the zombie apocalypse.
Diageo, one of the largest producers of spirits in the world, has partnered with the series to debut a new, limited-edition bourbon inspired by the show. The Walking Dead Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is already available for pre-order and will begin shipping in October—maybe sooner, depends on where you're located.
The 750-milliliter bottles cost $37 each and are being sold online by Reserve Bar. The bourbon will then be sold in select national retailers, so if you forget to pre-order yourself a bottle or two, there'll be plenty to go around.
The official description offers little insight into what the bourbon will taste like:
“Set in an apocalyptic world where the dead feed off the living, society has crumbled to the verge of extinction. There is no government, no stores, no mail delivery, no cable TV. But luckily, there is bourbon. Coming soon.”
Rumored to have a hint of fruit and a smooth spicy finish, we certainly would not mind having this on-hand if the zombie apocalypse ever does hit. Nothing like a little liquid bravery when facing off the never-ending threat of being eaten. At 47-percent ABV, this is one spirit that will pack a hefty punch and is part of Diageo’s "Spirits of The Apocalypse” series.
