One of the best things about Wegmans is their prepared food section. Fresh sushi is made right before your eyes, and rows and rows of hot food are just waiting for you to choose something. Get ready to have it all delivered with DoorDash through the new Meals 2Go app.

I am positively giddy at the thought of having the Ultimate Chocolate Cake slice delivered to me at home. Aside from their famous baked goods, Wegmans will soon be offering a myriad of prepared foods for home delivery: sushi, pizza, wings, sandwiches, Asian food, and more.

All you have to do is download the Meals 2Go app, available for both Apple and Android, put in your address, and you're on your way!

In fact, 40 Wegmans locations on the East Coast will offer delivery service to locations within a five-mile radius. In my case, my home address is eligible, but my work address is not. Delivery costs $4.99 per trip, and the food prices are the same as if you bought the items in-store. If it's a quick stop for you, curbside or indoor pickup are also available. The minimum cart total is $20 for delivery, but that's not hard to do, given all of your yummy meal options. If you've never tried it, get the Ultimate Chocolate Cake slice! It's a classic, fudgy cake with real buttercream frosting. It would be the perfect end to any meal.

For more information, see the Wegmans press release about the app, then keep an eye out for ads about it in your area. I first learned about it through a Facebook post announcing its arrival in my neighborhood, but a friend who lives closer got coupons in the mail. Chances are, if you live within five miles of a Wegmans in Virginia, Maryland, or New Jersey, you are either eligible now or will be able to use the service soon.

If you need additional incentive to try it out, use the promo code "HOORAY" to get $10 off a $20 order!
