We can't wait for our favorite snack to return to the shelves, baby!
It might be a bit early yet to camp outside your favorite store. But prepare yourselves for one of the best things to make a comeback in January 2021.
3D Doritos, one of the most popular niche snacks within the Dorito brand, were smaller than regular Doritos. And as the name suggests, the chips were puffed up in more of a three-dimensional snack. 3D Doritos launched in the '90s and were discontinued soon after 2000.
The relaunch of 3D Doritos will be available in two flavors: Chili Cheese Nacho and Spicy Ranch. The chips are expected to be on store shelves on or around January 18, 2021.
Doritos have been a household staple since 1964 when Frito-Lay launched the first Dorito. This first chip was not additionally flavored. The first official flavor was Toasted Corn, produced in 1966, followed by Taco in 1967. We're all thankful that the creative juices and flavor experts at Doritos didn't stop there.
The beloved chip is now offered in 15 different variety and flavors including Blazin' Buffalo & Ranch, Nacho Cheese, Spicy Sweet Chili, Cool Ranch, Salsa Verde, Flamin' Hot Limon, and Simply Organic (White Cheddar and Spicy White Cheddar).
This comes after Dunkaroos—another popular '90s snack—announced that a new cereal would be hitting store shelves.
