Yep. We want a castle.

The luxury home fit for any king or queen was listed in mid-June for an asking price of $12.5 million. This castle, which spans 21,692 square feet, has all the features one would expect!

Listed by Jennifer Davenport and Whitney Cain with LIV Sotheby's International Realty, the limestone castle is four stories tall and offers spectacular views of Mount Evans from almost every room—29 in total. Located at 600 Chateau V Rd, in Evergreen, the home was designed by the current owners, Randall and Cynthia Veselka, who have owned the land since 2004 and had the castle constructed there; it was completed in 2016 and took nine years to build.

Chateau V, as the home is called, was designed by Boulder’s BVZ Architects and inspired by the Biltmore Mansion located in North Carolina. The luxury chateau has 8 bathrooms, 6 bedrooms, a two-story library, a wine cellar, four fireplaces, a dog run, and twin 2-car garages. Of course, there's also a recreation room, multiple laundries, and an exercise room.

Plus, no castle would be complete without vaulted ceilings and a marbled entryway. Its great room has 25-foot ceilings and a glass wall that opens to the mountain peaks, as well as a second-floor balcony. This castle does not have a dungeon per se, however, there is an unfinished basement with walkout access, meaning that there's still room to grow on this already enormous home.

High ceilings, marble, wrought iron insets, winding staircases, a safe room, primary suite, several guest apartments, and more make this castle in the mountains a place that seems straight out of a fairy tale.

Chateau V was on the market in 2017, listed for $17.5 million, but it was taken down and relisted just a few weeks ago for the reduced price of $12.5 million.
