Mmmmmm ... pineapple.
Disney's must-eat, sweet and tangy Dole whip treat can now be yours at home! The Disney Parks app released the recipe that it has used to put smiles on faces for years. The company is one of many lately that are releasing their "secret" recipes to lift people's spirits and keep them well-fed during the coronavirus pandemic. The DoubleTree by Hilton recently released a bake-at-home version of its secret chocolate chip cookie recipe, as well.
As we head into warmer weather, there's no better time break out Disney's recipe!
Disney's Official Frozen Pineapple Treat Recipe (Single Serving):
- 1 big scoop of ice cream
- 4 oz of pineapple juice
- 2 cups of frozen pineapple
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until its thick and mixed. Enjoy!
Now, this isn't the traditional, dairy-free recipe that was first developed by Dole (I had this once at the Dole Pineapple Plantation in Hawaii, and oh man, I can't even explain how amazing it was).
Dole's Official Dole Whip Recipe:
- 1 cup pineapple juice (frozen)
- 1 banana (peeled and frozen)
- 2-1/2 teaspoons of powdered sugar
- 1⁄4 to 1/2 cups of unsweetened coconut milk
Add it all to a blender. Blend until smooth. Drink up!
No matter what recipe you use, you're in for a tropical treat that might help alleviate some of the stress of the current times.
Disney also released its churro bites recipe (another must-have snack when you visit the Disney parks and resorts)! You can check out the Disney Parks Blog for the full instructions and check out the included video below!
