They're easy. They're delicious. They'll have your family screaming for more.

For. The. Reals. These barbeque chicken sandwiches are on our family's regular meal rotation. And they make me look like a kitchen genius. It's my go-to recipe when we have a crazy-busy day ahead or when I just don't feel like spending a heap of time preparing dinner.

No need to thaw the chicken before you place it in the Crockpot. (Who else is grossed out by thawed raw chicken??!?) You can start with frozen chicken. It takes just 10 minutes to prep the meal, and the Crockpot does its magic all day. The aroma throughout the day increases everyone's anticipation for dinner.

Easy BBQ Chicken Sandwiches in the Crockpot:

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 6 hours

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs. frozen chicken breasts (or thighs)
  • 1 bottle of your favorite barbeque sauce
  • 1/3 c. brown sugar
  • 2 t. apple cider vinegar
  • 2 T. prepared mustard
  • Hamburger buns

Instructions:

Place the frozen chicken in your Crockpot. Mix the wet ingredients and brown sugar. Pour the mixture over the chicken. Cook on low for six hours.

About 30 minutes before serving, shred, or chop the chicken. (I love using these salad choppers to chop cooked meat. They're seriously amazing!)

Spoon chicken mixture onto hamburger buns. Top with more barbeque sauce and cheese, if desired.

Make it a meal with sides of coleslaw and baked beans. And how about some banana pudding for dessert?
