From fried rice to sashimi, Annapolis brings the flavor with delicious and authentic Asian cuisine.

Is there anything better than Asian food? You've got flavorful meats, fresh veggies, and portions big enough to feed you throughout the week. Baltimore and D.C. may have more of a "scene," but Annapolis has their own hidden gems we'd be remiss not to mention. Whether you're craving spicy Thai curry or a Japanese bento box, here are some spots for delicious Asian cuisine in the state capital.

Carlson's Donuts & Thai Kitchen

This Thai restaurant specializes in traditional fare in a humble dining space. Enjoy a heaping plate of Pad Thai or any of their savory curry and rice dishes. But if there's any reason to visit this spot, it's for the donuts. Yes, this Thai place also happens to sell donuts, and they're some of the best ones in town. Fluffy and delicious. We recommend picking some up in advance because they'll definitely sell out. View their menu here.

Is there anything better than a sushi bar? We love Yama for their fresh ingredients and creative entrees, which do not disappoint in the flavor department. Try the Christmas Tree roll, stuffed with spicy tuna, tuna tataki, and topped with seaweed salad. Did we mention how affordable they are? Their Yama Lunch Box (offered every day but Sunday) includes two sushi rolls, soup, and a salad for only $8.95. Now that's good eating! View their menu here.

Since 2005, Lemongrass has offered a fresh take on Thai cuisine with its modern digs and flexible menu. Specialties like Pineapple Fried Rice and Duck Curry coexist alongside veggie-packed entrees vegetarians and carnivores will love. Most of the dishes can be modified for food or gluten allergies, so it's a great spot for sensitive eaters. Plus, the food is just plain delicious! Take a look at their menu here.
