You can't go wrong with this bottomless Balkan bites brunch at Ambar in Clarendon. For $34, you can nibble on unlimited small plates, and brunch drinks are just $0.25 a pop from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Both Ambar and Baba (see below) are perfect for anyone aiming to expand their culinary horizons in 2019.

If you’re looking for something equally delicious but want larger plates, look for the humble door next to Ambar (Baba usually operates as a speakeasy). Baba's unlimited brunch experience includes a buffet and a la carte options for $29, including dessert and unlimited non-alcoholic beverages. They will also have a DJ 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. because who says fitness resolutions can't be fun?

Palette 22 -- Shirlington Village | 4053 Campbell Ave.

Peru 703 is bringing back its New Year's Day brunch, along with ceviche, lomo montado, tacu tacu, leche de tigre, Peruvian mimosas, and much, much more. For those with the goal of seeing more family and friends in the New Year, use this to start the year off right -- they're only accepting reservations for parties of eight or more. Seating is first-come, first-served.

Loudoun County

French Hound Brasserie | 19286 Promenade Dr., Leesburg, VA (casual French)

Over in Lansdowne, French Hound Brasserie is offering a Hangover Brunch, complete with $12 bottomless mimosas (with penny refills), bloody marys, and croque madams. For anyone who wants to go easier on the drinks, this sounds like an excellent way to ease into such resolutions.

The Ashburn Pub will be serving up delicious brunch classics, including made-to-order omelets, chicken and waffles, and steak and eggs, along with $2 mimosas and $5 bloody marys. They'll also be showing all the NCAA games -- perfect for anyone whose resolution is to be a better fan for their tribe.
