The southwestern grill has been adapting its policies to better serve customers for the duration of Colorado's stay-at-home orders.

Social distancing requirements have forced a lot of restaurants to completely re-evaluate industry practices in safety and sanitization. Keeping communities protected from the potential spread of COVID-19 means continually staying on top of an ever-evolving set of health guidelines and safety standards.

Blue Agave Grill is a southwestern grill with locations in both LoDo and Fort Collins. Their commitment to the wellbeing of both their customers and community has been an inspiration in otherwise exhausting and uncertain times. Additionally, they have been a steadfast supporter of healthcare workers fighting on the front lines of the epidemic.

The Healthcare Heroes promotion is good at either Blue Agave Grill. Healthcare workers can show ID to receive a 50 percent discount off an entree. This offer can be redeemed multiple times and has been quoted to run "through the foreseeable future". Gestures like this are the restaurant's way of thanking our healthcare workers for their service.

When social distancing requirements were first publically announced, the restaurant industry found itself scrambling to minimize potential points of customer contact. Some of these may seem obvious, such as limiting seating capacity and ensuring that tables are properly spaced. Blue Agave was quick to take these considerations a step further and completely restructure their operations around keeping customer experiences safe and sanitary.

For instance, Blue Agave was quick to identify menus, condiment bottles, and salt/pepper shakers as potential points of risk. To this end, they retooled their dining experience so that all of these things are only presented to customers upon request and disinfected thoroughly between uses. Additionally, they were quick to ensure that all employees have access to paid sick leave, and requiring it for any person that is potentially showing symptoms.

These actions highlight the importance of taking initiative in the face of potential COVID outbreaks, and we are enthusiastic to see such a strong industry response from restaurants like Blue Agave.

While their seating area is currently closed to the public, Blue Agave has online ordering available for their Fort Collins location. If you're looking to dine in at a later date, they also have gift cards available! Although their Denver location has temporarily suspended operations, they're looking forward to reopening as soon as they are able to do so!
