This is the second location in Maryland for the vegan bakery.

Gaithersburg is getting a new sweet treat shop this week. Cinnaholic, the vegan cinnamon roll bakery, is opening a new location at Downtown Crown on Friday, June 19. Cinnaholic offers a lineup of create-your-own cinnamon rolls, mini rolls, cookie dough, cookies, brownies, coffee, and espresso drinks. The company began franchising after it was featured on Shark Tank, and it currently has 40 locations around the U.S. The bakeries have been a hit with people who suffer from allergies to dairy and eggs,as well as those who adhere to a vegan diet.

At the helm of the new Cinnaholic in Gaithersburg is local Kimberly Turkes. She says the shop is ready to take care of those cinnamon roll cravings with all the proper health procedures as recommended by the CDC.

“There is a tremendous amount of excitement to serve our award-winning cinnamon rolls to the people of Montgomery County and the entire DMV area,” said Turkes, the general manager. “I’m eager to share such a delicious and allergy-friendly dessert to my community. The concept is fun and will serve a growing demographic in the area.”

Cinnaholic has more than 20 flavors of frosting including cake batter, creme brulee, peanut butter, strawberry, and classic cream cheese. Visitors can choose from signature rolls or create their own with toppings like nuts, sprinkles, sauces, fresh fruit, and more. Cinnaholic buns are available in regular and mini and are 100-percent vegan-, eggs-, lactose-, dairy-, and cholesterol-free.
