If you like your chicken with a kick, then this is the restaurant for you.

This new Woodbridge spot does chicken in a variety of classic dishes, and it does it really, really well. Don't be afraid of the spiciness—you can dress your sandwich in any of four different sauces with various levels of heat: Base, After Burner, Angry Hot, and Medic. Still not sure? Get the sauce on the side and just dip!

The signature fried chicken sandwich is big and fat, on a toasted potato bun with your choice of sauce and creamy coleslaw. Chicken and waffles are done just right here too, with two large chicken tenders and a side of breakfast-y goodness. Anyone who can't quite handle something spicy would love this sweet and savory combination.

If you're in a mac and cheese mood, HCK's version has a creamy white cheese sauce and a crown of crispy breadcrumbs. Another stellar side is the humble crinkle cut fry. They come with the sandwich, or you can get them fully loaded with cheese and chopped chicken on top.

For my next visit, I think I'll try the crispy chicken salad ... because, you know, vegetables. Whatever you choose, make sure to save room for some cinnamon doughnut drops, both crisp and tender, served with sweet, thin icing for dipping.

On a personal note, you can feel good about getting a meal at this minority-owned, veteran-owned small business. Supporting your local restaurants never tasted so good!
