The rumors are true: a fan-favorite is coming back to Taco Bell stores next month!

Taco Bell fans, rejoice! After removing the popular tortilla-and-bean pizza from stores last fall, Taco Bell has announced it will be bringing back the Mexican Pizza next month!

That's right! The fan-favorite item will be back on the menu of U.S. stores on May 19—for good!

When Taco Bell removed the item from its menus, fans tried to get the fast-food giant to reconsider, forming a petition on change.org that received more than 170,000 signatures.

Rumblings about the return of the Mexican pizza have been present on the Twitter account “Save Our Mexican Pizza” after Doja Cat asked about it in a tweet. The artist’s songs are featured in Taco Bell commercials and she asked “Where’s my Mexican pizza?”

Invented in 1985, Mexican pizza is one of those love-it or hate-it menu items. It’s made with two crispy tortilla shells filled with refried beans, ground beef, and sauce, and topped with more sauce, cheddar cheese, and chopped tomatoes. It can also be made vegetarian by ordering it without the beef.
