Looking for a casual seafood spot on the water? Point your boat or car toward Urbanna and check out this local restaurant.

This is definitely a no-frills, good restaurant where you can get delicious crabs and oysters. Wine comes in plastic cups and ketchup is in packets. It's perfect for a quick bite on a summer afternoon if you're out and about on your boat.

Seating is available on two sides of a central dock, at high-top counters with bar stools, picnic tables, and tables with chairs. Service is quick and with a smile, so just speak up if you need something to enjoy your seafood. You'll be provided with knives and mallets to crack your crabs if you order them.

The crab prices are very reasonable, and you can call ahead to reserve a dozen or more of the big #1 jimmies (male crabs). If you're driving a long distance to get there, I'd suggest doing this so you don't miss out. The ones we got were big, heavy, and perfectly spiced. They even have an all-you-can-eat option if you're in the mood.

The local oysters are on the big side, so next time, I would get them fried in a po' boy or steamed as an appetizer. Other than that, everything was fantastic. Service was quick and solicitous; it kind of felt like I was eating at a friend's house in their waterfront backyard.

When it comes to picking crabs, this is the type of place you go to just hammer away on your paper-covered table. Bring your out-of-town guests for an unforgettable meal. Don't be alarmed by the last few miles of the drive. It may look like you're lost, winding through a residential area dotted with mobile homes, but you're going the right way.
