Former Broncos John Lynch and Brian Dawkins have been named 2018 Hall of Fame finalists.

On Tuesday, January 2, the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2018 announced its 15 finalists. Two former Broncos have been named -- John Lynch (2004-2007) and Brian Dawkins (2009-2011). This marks as the fifth consecutive year that John Lynch has been named a finalist. He played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for 11 seasons before arriving in Denver in 2004. Lynch, with the Buccaneers, "won Super Bowl XXXVVII and earned five Pro Bowl trips, three First-Team All-Pro selections, and one Second-Team All-Pro pick," according to the Denver Broncos. He earned four more Pro Bowl nods with the Broncos.
Lynch isn't the only former Bronco who could be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Brian Dawkins has been named a finalist for the second time. He played with the Philadelphia Eagles for 13 years before joining the Broncos in 2009. Dawkins is a nine-time Pro Bowler, with four-time First-Team All Pro and two Second-Team All-Pro selections. The Hall of Fame Selection Committee will not make a final decision until the Saturday before the Super Bowl (February 4, 2018). The Class of 2018 will be formally enshrined on August 4, 2018.
