It's the moment we've all been waiting for, football fans ... the NFL season is back! The Denver Broncos face off against the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday, September 11, in their season opener.

You've waited months for this day, and it's finally here: the Broncos are back for the regular NFL season. On Monday, September 11, the Broncos will play against the Los Angeles Chargers at Sports Authority Field at Mile High in Denver to kick off the season opener and end Week One. The AFC West rivals haven't opened the season against each together since 1994, where it ended in a 37-34 win for the Chargers. After that game, the Broncos started 0-4 that season. The tone for the remainder of the 2017-2018 season will be dependent on whatever happens in Monday night's game, whether good or bad. Denver hasn't lost a season opener since 2011 against the Oakland Raiders, and hopefully it stays that way. Last year, after entering the season as Super Bowl champions, the Broncos placed third in the AFC West (9-7 record) -- the first time they'd missed the playoffs since 2010. In comparison, the Chargers (when they were in San Diego) had a 5-11 record and came in fourth place in the AFC West. This game features the debut of two new coaches: Vance Joseph for the Broncos and Anthony Lynn for the Chargers. It also marks the season for Von Miller, Aqib Talib, Demaryius Thomas, Trevor Siemian and Brandon McManus as the team's captains.
The Broncos are asking fans to be United in Orange for the game, so wear as much orange-colored apparel as you possibly can. Also, fans 21 and older who attend the game will receive an orange rally towel, courtesy of Bud Light. https://twitter.com/Broncos/status/905914594018910208 So, not only could you get a free rally towel just for attending the game, you could also get a free cup of coffee at Conoco the next morning if the Broncos win! What are you waiting for? Join in and show your support for the Denver Broncos as they kick off what will hopefully be a great season! #BeatTheChargers! You can watch the game on Monday, September 11, at 8:20 p.m. (MST) via ESPN, with Rex Ryan and Beth Mowins -- the first woman in 30 years to head up the play-by-play -- as announcers. If it seems like a late start time, that's because it is: there are two Monday Night Football games on ESPN this week. The first match-up, between the New Orleans Saints and Minnesota Vikings, begins at 5:10 p.m. (MST). Will you be attending the season opener game? Let us know in the comments. If you are, make sure you take advantage of the high-speed wi-fi now available at the stadium -- that way you can post all of your pictures and videos!
