A legacy has officially come to an end. Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce is retiring, according to reports.

However, despite these reports, Kelce has yet to definitively announce his retirement from the NFL. On Wednesday, Kelce addressed on his podcast, saying, "in the future, there will be something said."

The reports spurred following the wild-card playoff game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday night, in which Kelce was seen visibly emotional.

Kelce was approached by reporters in the locker room, but he declined to talk, instead saying, "No, guys; not today."

This season, Kelce was on a one-year contract and set to become a free agent in March.

Kelce is the fifth center in NFL history with at least six All-Pro selections. He spent his entire 13-season career with the Eagles.

"He's a legend in the city—really in the league," Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts said. "I don't want to do a disservice to him and the things he's been able to do and overcome. His journey to where he is now didn't come easy. It's been a long, long time coming for him, and every year since I've been here, it's been, 'Are you going to come back?' But he knows how much I love and appreciate him. He knows how much I've learned from him. He'll forever have a special place in my heart."

Here's to you, #62! Thank you.

And for any Kelce fans out there, we highly recommend the documentary Kelce. It's a look at what the center thought was his last year in the NFL, but then he ended up playing one more season. And it feels even more emotional following today's news.
