Sports rivalries tell a story. That story consists of two teams (or people) who often find themselves in each others' way. These teams would like nothing more than to emerge victorious. Victory is always sweet, but a victory against a rival is all the more sweet. There are games, there are championships, and there are rivalries! Let's look at five rivalries that cemented their legacy in sports history, from baseball to hockey and every other sport in between.

The Red Sox and Yankees have been feuding for generations. Their rivalry goes back to Babe Ruth, as Boston sent Ruth to the Yankees in 1920. Ruth had won three of the past five World Series Titles with the Red Sox. Once Ruth left Boston, the Red Sox didn't win another World Series until 2004! The Yankees would win 26 World Series titles during this time. This is known as the Curse of the Bambino, as Boston's championship ways went to New York with the Babe and stayed with the Yankees for several decades. There are numerous brawls between these teams and countless games of significance. The Yankees made the Red Sox suffer for decades and decades. When these teams meet, a century's worth of quarreling comes flooding back!
