There's a short list of things that can make Coloradans squeal with glee: a snow day, good craft beer, and -- Tom Brady and the Pats losing the Super Bowl.

Welcome to our ranks, Tom. There's an elite "five-timers' club" for NFL teams that have lost the Super Bowl five times in their franchise history, and after Sunday's Super Bowl LII, there are only two members: the Denver Broncos and the New England Patriots. In addition, Tom Brady joins John Elway with the distinguished title of "Quarterback with Three Super Bowl Losses." Only one other NFL quarterback can make that same claim to fame (Fran Tarkenton), while one quarterback in NFL history has actually lost four Super Bowls (Jim Kelly). Of course, we have to acknowledge that the law of averages is certainly in play. The fact that Brady has actually appeared in eight Super Bowls in his 18-year career and managed to win five of them is pretty impressive. His five Super Bowl wins outplay Elway's two, and the Patriots' five championships overshadow the Broncos' three. Even so, it's a happy day in Denver when the Patriots suffer a blow to their puffed-up ego. I don't know if you've noticed, but there's a skip in everyone's step this week. Just keep skipping!
