The summer season is almost over, but you don't want to stop wearing your summer clothes just yet.
Well, you don't have to, because many of the pieces you love now can be seamlessly transitioned into the fall.
We love a flower-printed, bright, peppy sundress in the summer with our favorite sandals, right? Well, just because summer is nearing an end doesn't mean you have to let go of the dress. Style it with a pair of lace-up boots and a leather jacket, and you’ve not only made it weather-appropriate, but incorporated fall’s favorite pieces. Or, if it’s still not too cold out, pair it with some heeled booties (preferably in a neutral, like black or brown) and a jean jacket. You still feel like summer, but with autumn-appropriate touches.

You may be thinking, how? Shorts are specifically for the warmer months, right? But I’m telling you to think a little bit outside the box. Now, this works better with a pair of distressed, looser-fitting jean shorts -- even better with a nice pair of cotton ones. All you have to do is add tights. That’s it. You can do just a classic black sheer tight, the shorts, and tuck in a long-sleeved top. Add a pair of boots of your choice, and you’ve got an incredibly stylish fall look.

Maxi Dresses (and skirts)
Maxi dresses just make you dream of all the summer days you spent having fun outside. But when the season turns, you can put your maxi to new use. Since this dress is already long, you really just have to add layers. I would style a maxi dress with a pair of long knee-high boots (this looks amazing with heeled boots), and a slouchy sweater. It feels so effortless and cozy, and yet looks so high fashion.
