The first Monday in May delivered on jaw-dropping looks.
The Met Gala might as well be the Super Bowl of fashion. Stars from all walks of life converge on the steps of the Met in support of the Met's costume institute. And each year a theme is instituted, and designers, as well as their celeb muse, are expected to come dressed accordingly.
This year's exhibition was Camp: Notes on Fashion. I know what you're thinking here. Camp as in camping? Camo, perhaps? This theme is actually a form of exaggerated fashion. It has been interpreted as the "love of the unnatural: of artifice and exaggeration." That means it could be funny or ironic, hence the plehtora of feathers we saw this year.
