The Smithsonian's National Zoo has some amazing events planned for August and September!

The National Zoo is a great source of entertainment! Here are some upcoming zoo events we think might interest you!

The Fast & the Fierce 5K

Put on your best running shoes and get ready to run for a great cause with the Fast and the Fierce 5K! Proceeds from the race will go toward providing better veterinary care for sick, injured, and orphaned rhinos. Then, after you've helped the rhinos, you can enjoy the post-race event with animal-themed games and music!

Zoo Uncorked

Help out the Zoo while enjoying a wine-filled night out with Zoo Uncorked! Throughout the night, you'll be able to enjoy unlimited -- yes, we said unlimited -- wine tastings, different types of live entertainment, and an art walk with local artists. And if you wish you could see some of the exhibits, fear not because the Zoo is keeping their Reptile Discovery Center, Think Tank, and Great Cats exhibits open later for participants!

ZooFiesta

Welcome Hispanic Heritage Month with the Zoo's ZooFiesta! This free event is sure to bring the entire family joy with live entertainment, activities dealing with conservation in Central and South America, and other programs. Enjoy watching feedings and live demonstrations based around animals native to the same area, like the Andean bears and golden lion tamarins!
