We at OCN love supporting local and start-up businesses -- especially those that work for good causes.

Underbares is a Washington, D.C.-based company that focuses on empowering women through bras and undergarments that emphasize a woman’s femininity, without sacrificing function. On Thursday, November 15, they will be hosting a pop-up event at the local, boutique co-working space, BUREAU, located in the Adams Morgan neighborhood.

Here are the all the deets:

WHEN: Thursday, November 15, 7 to 9 p.m.
WHERE: BUREAU | 1800 Wyoming Avenue NW, Washington, D.C., 20009 | Third floor
COST: $15 per person, and $5 from each ticket will be donated to I Support the Girls

Besides finding the bra of your dreams, you should attend this pop-up event because Underbares, founded by designer Genevieve Gralton, is working with a local organization called I Support the Girls, and donating part of the proceeds from the event to their mission. And the mission is to help girls and women in need or at risk find the power and self-respect to achieve their goals. It also provides clothing for those in need.

You’re encouraged to bring a gently used bra to donate, and $5 of your ticket price will go to the organization.

And, though the cause is great, there will also be a lot of fun to be had. Your ticket will include unlimited handcrafted cocktails by TRUE Syrups & Garnishes, as well as mingling and music. You can also check out Underbares' products and do some shopping.

Grab your girlfriends and buy your ticket through Eventbrite here
