The Art on the Avenue Festival is a celebration of the diverse community of the city of Alexandria, Virginia, in the historic and charming neighborhood of Del Ray.

The Art on the Avenue Festival happens the first Saturday in October every year, rain or shine.

This year's event lands on Saturday, October 6, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and will take place along Mt. Vernon Avenue in Del Ray, Alexandria.

Celebrate the multicultural vibe of the city by visiting over 300 different vendors/artists who will be selling goods like jewelry, art, knick-knacks for your home, and more. It’s also a great way to add a little culture to your every day and support local artists and businesses.

The complete list of artists and what they will be selling can be found here

You’ll, of course, also have the opportunity to enjoy some delicious food from multiple cultures, including cuisine options like Asian, Indian, Mexican, BBQ, tapas, seafood, and much more. And if you’re craving dessert, enter yourself into the pie-baking contest. Take a look at last year’s vendors here to get an idea of what to expect.

An art festival wouldn’t be complete without music, right? There will be five different entertainment stages throughout the festival, featuring unique styles of music, from Irish to Bluegrass to acapella. You can check out the complete music schedule here to make sure you don’t miss something you really want to see.
