The Annapolis Crab Feast is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Annapolis and is dedicated to raising money for donations to the local community and organizations for the 73rd year in a row! Participants will have the opportunity to eat their share of 320 bushels of crabs, 3,400 ears of corn, 1,800 hot dogs, 150 pounds of beef barbecue, 100 gallons of crab soup, and gallons upon gallons of sodas and beer. My stomach is growling just thinking about all these goodies! And if there's still room left over, there will be a bake sale, cake raffle, and fresh watermelon to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Also, besides the money going to help the community and local organizations, the Rotary Club of Annapolis is partnering up with the vendors and Annapolis Green, a local group dedicated to helping the environment, to make the Crab Feast a zero-waste event! All the food waste will be collected and composted to be used in gardens around the area, plastic will be collected, and containers will be made out of paper, so everything will be recycled!
