See what parts of the past are waiting for you with these Furnace Town Living Heritage Village events!

The Eastern Shore is rife with history! And one of the places that enables you to dig right into the past is the Furnace Town Living Heritage Village!

With a goal to preserve and display the history of the area, the Furnace Town Living Heritage Village holds awesome events designed to educate and delight its visitors! Here are three upcoming events you may enjoy.

Guided Tour

When: Saturday, July 7, from 10:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

Stroll through Furnace Town and feel like you walked through a time machine with the help of this tour! Explore Furnace Town's collection of 19th-century buildings, such as the Mt. Zion One-Room Schoolhouse. You'll also meet the artisans and see how people lived and worked in the area in the past. 

Paranormal Investigation

When: Friday, July 13, from 8 p.m.–9:30 p.m.

Learn more about the spirits of Furnace Town and the surrounding Pocomoke Forest with a paranormal investigation! For an hour and a half, you'll be led around the buildings on the land that have had paranormal run-ins over the years. But, warning: Pocomoke Forest holds a 200-year legacy for being haunted!

Storytelling in the Schoolhouse

When: July 14 from 10:30 a.m.–12 p.m.

Bring the kids out to this story-filled event! Families will sit around the Mt. Zion One-Room Schoolhouse and listen to a story. And everyone will also find out more about the long, interesting history of Furnace Town, as well as what life was like for 19th-century children!
