This Saturday, November 4, celebrate Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) at the Denver Botanic Gardens with your family and friends.
This year's Dia de los Muertos Festival at the Denver Botanic Gardens is on the same day as Denver Arts Week, so that means a full day and night of free activities! When: Saturday, November 4 | 12-8 p.m. Where: Denver Botanic Gardens Enjoy the Mexican holiday and its ancient customs combined with European traditions. Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a holiday that celebrates family members and loved ones who have passed away. Decorate sugar skulls, create ofrendas (offerings) -- elaborate displays that commemorate the dead -- and so much more. [gallery columns="2" size="large" ids="26582,26581"] Various exhibits will be on display, and the beautiful Botanic Gardens are available to explore. You can even come dressed in Dia de los Muertos costumes. In fact, it's encouraged!
