Now open to the public, you can "discover the architect of flight" at Wings Over the Rockies: Air and Space Museum, with the DaVinci Machines Exhibition!

From now until September 30th, you'll have the opportunity to take a step back in time at the interactive showcase of Leonardo DaVinci's machines focused on flight, mechanics, war and more! Hold on tight and take flight with one the greatest minds in history. [gallery size="large" columns="2" ids="12349,12344"] The DaVinci Machines Exhibition gives guests an in-depth look at over 65 hand-crafted machines from his 500-year-old designs. Some of the machine models may look similar and quite modern to visitors, like an underwater breathing apparatus that resembles scuba gear or an early version of a parachute. The entire exhibit truly showcases DaVinci's designs and his "ahead of his time" thinking. "There are 2,500 of DaVinci's designs, inventions and theories that we use every day in our modern-day life," said Mark Rodgers, curator of the DaVinci Machines and Michelangelo Exhibitions (from the permanent Museum of Leonardo DaVinci in Florence, Italy). [gallery size="large" columns="2" ids="12347,12346,12345,12348"] There are also licensed copies of the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper for guests to view and take photographs of. This exhibit includes a 45-minute film, audio tours for nearly every piece, guided tours, and an interactive kid's area.
