The annual Harbor Halloween party will go down October 29 at the National Harbor, and will provide locals with lots of family-friendly activities.

The National Harbor is holding its yearly, family-friendly Halloween Party on Sunday, October 29. The free event, called Harbor Halloween, will provide children with safe trick-or-treating at more than 30 restaurants and businesses. Parents weary of letting the kids trick-or-treat after dark should consider bringing the young ones. When: Sunday, October 29 | 12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Where: The National Harbor | 165 Waterfront Street, just south of the Beltway and Woodrow Wilson Bridge Hocus Pocus is going to be screened at 12:30 p.m. on the Harbor’s large outdoor screen. Hocus Pocus is a family-friendly movie for children of all ages. [caption id="attachment_5155" align="aligncenter" width="640"]National Harbor Courtesy of National Harbor[/caption] Kids attending Harbor Halloween will receive a complimentary trick-or-treat bag provided by DARCARS, which can be used from noon until 2 p.m. at the Harbor’s many stores, businesses and restaurants. After trick-or-treating has concluded, patrons can enjoy and participate in Black Dog’s party and Paw-Rade at 2:15 p.m., where they could win a best costume prize. The Pumpkin Carving contest will begin at 2:30 p.m.
The day’s events will also feature pumpkin decorating, coloring and photo stations. Guests can enjoy the National Harbor Ferris Wheel, which offers stunning views of the Potomac. Plus, kiddos dressed in costume will receive one free ticket ride! Once the party has ended patrons may also want to shop and dine at the many fine stores and restaurants located in the Harbor or just sit and watch the sunset over the water.
