Don't miss the Splashdown Pond Skimming Championship Sunday, April 16th!

This event is for all skiers, riders, men, women, elderly, and children! In celebration of closing day at Steamboat Springs, you can enter to compete to be the 2017 Splashdown Pond Skimming Champion. While this is not for the faint of heart, you can always just watch!
Anyone of any age who is crazy enough to enter can enter. You will compete by riding or boarding off of one of the park jumps, crossing the icy pond skimming the water, and hopefully doing it gracefully.
Think you have what it takes? Registration will open in April and there are a few things you'll want to do to prepare. First, pick out a killer costume that you know the crowd will love (a lot of people like speedos or other funny things). Next, work on your distance at the slopes before you take the leap. Last but certainly not least, perfect your style.
Celebrate the closing of a great season on April 16th! You won't be disappointed.
