Enjoy a stretch of spooky floats, costumed marchers, and live music on October 20.
Starting at 6 p.m. on Saturday, October 20, the eclectic characters in the Heart of Broadway will march to get you into the spirit of Halloween. The parade stretches from 5th to Alameda along Broadway, and onlookers are encouraged to wear costumes as they cheer for their favorite floats.
See local charity cosplay group Colorado Ghostbusters, snap photos of your favorite spooky parrot heads from the Colorado Parrot Head Club, or interact with zombie tiki with doctors handing out candy. You can also enjoy performances from the Denver Citywide Marching Band and Mile High Freedom Bands. Prepare to be creeped out by zombie pirates from Mutiny Information Cafe and Morningside's "Haunted Party" hearse.

This family-friendly event is perfect for all ages, and you can even find fun events around the area to experience before or after the parade. Hear scary stories at Metropolis Coffee from 3-6 p.m., or check out the Fall Festival at Hector Flores Park from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Adults can enjoy an after-party at Denver Distillery with a costume contest and live music. There will also be music and events at Li'l Devil's Lounge, The Hornet, and The Irish Rover. So be sure to arrive early and stay late!
You're encouraged to set up before the parade begins, and know that parking will be difficult. But many rail lines stop at the Alameda Light Rail station, and you can use this tool to find out how to get there via RTD. More details about this year's parade can be found here.
