A Quick Glimpse at all the Fun Stuff this Weekend, Family Fun Colorado Weekend Events

  Cheesman Park Art Festival Cheesman Park will be holding a two-day arts festival. Guests will have the chance to look through works of over 130 different potters, wood workers, glass artists, jewelers, photographers, and much more. Overall The Cheeseman Park Arts Festival is a perfect addition to Colorado weekend events. The event is going on for its fourth year, events will run from 9 am to 7 pm on Saturday, and 9 am to 5 pm on Sunday.   Colorado Dragon Boat Festival Sloan’s Lake Park will be hosting the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival this weekend in a celebration of Asian American culture. In honor of the year of the Money, this year’s event will feature 12 monkeys spread throughout the festival. Guests who can find all 12, and create and post a collage with the hashtag #cdbfmonkey2016, can be entered for a chance to win a gift card. The famed dragon boat races will be from 8 am to 5 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free.   Underground Music Showcase Back for its 15^th year, the Underground Music Showcase will span across 20 venues along South Broadway and host over 400 performances all weekend. The fest will showcase a mix of rising local bands and nationally known artists. Weekend passes are $75; day passes are $35.   Denver County Fair While there are a bunch of Colorado weekend events, you need to check out the Denver Country Fair. For its sixth year the Denver County Fair will feature some of the nations most innovative fair pavilions & attractions. With tons of amazing activities and a KITTEN PAVILLION I don’t think I really need to say more.   Colorado Music Festival The 2016 Colorado Music Festival will offer a huge variety of concerts and educational programs for music lovers of all ages. In its 39^th season will included expanded collaborations with CMF’s creative partner, senior TED Fellow, and cellist Joshua Roman. Don’t miss out on this amazing musical experience this weekend.
