Last year, more than 125,000 people attended the Richmond Folk Festival. This year’s jam-packed lineup is expected to draw even more.

A very popular autumn festival every year, the Richmond Folk Festival celebrates the rich and diverse history of American culture through music and dance performances, storytelling, and food traditions that have been passed down through generations. In addition to wonderful live music and dance performances by soulful artists from all over the world, the Richmond Folk Festival also puts on a free film series, which will screen over 20 documentaries (mostly concerning nature and wildlife). The festival's dense programming schedule also includes nine different cooking demonstrations by expert chefs in a variety of cuisines, as well as multiple artists and exhibitors and a family stage with events that will appeal especially to families with small children.
