Voted for several years as Richmond's best music festival, the Richmond Folk Festival has become one of Virginia's largest and most beloved events -- and admission is free!
In addition to wonderful live music and dance performances by soulful artists from all over the world, the Richmond Folk Festival also puts on a free film series, which will screen over 20 documentaries (mostly concerning nature and wildlife). The festival's dense programming schedule also includes nine different cooking demonstrations by expert chefs in a variety of cuisines, as well as multiple artists and exhibitors and a family stage with events that will appeal especially to families with small children. Many events will occur at the same time, so look at the schedule and plan your visit
