After two months of renovations, the 18th Street Nando’s is re-opening and giving its patient customers free chicken.

Cluck cluck, you’re in luck! Nando’s PERi-PERi is back in business again near Dupont Circle. The South African chain known for its mouth-watering chicken is re-opening again on Wednesday, February 20, at 11 a.m., following two months of glorious renovations.

The 18th Street Nando’s had been operating for 10 years in a very historic building. Therefore, the company thought it was time for an upgrade. The restaurant now reflects a lot of the Nando’s brand and its commitment to providing fresh food in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

According to John Fisher, the CEO of Nando’s PERi-PERi in North America, “Every Nando’s is uniquely designed with earthy textures and bright colors that reflect its sunny African heritage. Our Dupont location is no exception and is now truly ready for its closeup”.

When you head to the Dupont Circle Nando’s (1210 18th Street NW, Washington, D.C, 20001), you will find a new kitchen, draft beer taps, a grab-and-go drink fridge, and a new order pick-up area. The dining areas have also been completely redesigned with Nando’s iconic earthy tones and handmade South African furniture. The restaurant will also feature original art from South African artists to remind customers about the heart and soul of Nando’s.

To celebrate the re-opening, Nando’s is also offering all of its hungry customers free chicken on Thursday, March 7. Called “the Dash,” the event is a thank you for all the patient Nando’s lovers that waited eagerly during the renovations. Therefore, anyone that dashes to Nando’s Dupont between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on the day of the event will receive PERi-PERi chicken and other delicious entrees for free. You can even eat-in or dash out with carryout to receive the offer.

So, are you one of those patient Nando’s fans that fervently awaited the re-opening of the Dupont location? Let us know if you will be heading out to the Dash!
