The Red Hot Chili Peppers have postponed their Denver show, originally scheduled for March 2.

Tonight’s performance by the Red Hot Chili Peppers at Pepsi Center has been postponed until fall. The band cited lead singer Anthony Kiedis’ sickness for the postponement. Kiedis has bronchitis, forcing the band to reschedule their Denver show, along with shows in San Diego and Glendale, Ca. The Denver performance has been rescheduled for October 16, promoter AEG Presents announced in an email to those who had purchased tickets.

The band released the following statement:
We are so sorry that we cannot come to Denver as planned. Anthony has been fighting off the bronchitis all week and still needs a few more days to recover. We are sorry for any inconvenience to our fans and look forward to seeing you on October 16th."
All previously purchased tickets will be honored on the newly scheduled date in October.
