All that glitters isn't gold, but it actually could be at these two Denver events.

Do you like shiny things? Are geodes your jam? Do you come home from hikes with a pocket full of pretty pebbles? If you answered yes to at least one of these, you’ve got a set-in-stone date with Denver’s renowned gem and mineral shows.

Whether you are a dealer, a jeweler, a prospector, or just a hobbyist, these events will rock your world!

Denver Coliseum Mineral, Fossil & Gem Show

This free show returns to the National Western Complex (NWC) again this year. It is a H-U-G-E gem of an event; in fact, it’s the largest of its kind in the U.S. The show features fine mineral specimens, fossils, dinosaurs, gems, gemstones, lapidary, cabochons, artisan and antique jewelry, beads, crystals, meteorites, metaphysical items, gold, silver, turquoise, Native American items, interior decor, metal art, miner’s rough, tools, supplies, and so much more! It offers sales both by the piece, pound, and wholesale, and it is ideal for rock hounds and dealers, alike.

This year, it has added a stadium show to its lineup, increasing the size to five venues:

Coliseum Show: Both levels of the Denver Coliseum + tents — fossils, minerals, gems, and jewelry
Stadium Show: Stadium + Level 1 of the NWC + courtyard tents — larger dealers in A/C comfort
Denver Expo Gem Show: Level 2 of the NWC — primarily large volume wholesale
Denver Mineral Show: Level 3 of the NWC — a quiet intimate space limited to better minerals, fossils, and gems
Miner’s Co-Op Show: ground level of the NWC — direct from the friendly miner/prospector

Plan a full day at this fun event. There’s a lot to see and do, as well as food trucks available to keep you fueled up and prospecting with the best of them.

Denver Gem & Mineral Show

It’s crystal clear that Denver is the best place to live for rock hunters because it also happens to be home to the second-largest gem and mineral show in the U.S.

The Denver Gem and Mineral Show began in 1967 and will offer nearly 100 competitive and non-competitive exhibits that feature the latest mineral and fossil finds from around the world. It also hosts more than 150 mineral, gem, fossil, book, and jewelry dealers from across Colorado, the United States, and around the world. This year’s theme is Minerals of Mexico, and world-class specimens reflecting the theme will be on display. Whether you want a tumbled stone, a museum quality crystal, or a beautiful piece of jewelry, you will find it at this show.
