Denver Museum of Nature and Science explores the science behind why beer pairs so great with certain foods.

On March 2nd, the Denver Museum of Nature and Science will be hosting an event where attendees can taste a variety of beers with certain foods to see which beers pair best with what. Believe it or not, there is an entire science behind this! Denver Museum If you’re not much of a science person, then this will appeal to you. If you’re going to drink beer, you might as well understand why certain dishes pair with certain beer. The official research study will be led by taste expert Nicole Garneau, ensuring the study will be performed correctly. The attendees will receive three beers as they eat a three course vegetarian meal. The participant will taste the beer and food separately and categorize them as either sweet, sour, salty, umami or bitter. Next, they will rank the dish alone compared to the dish paired with each beer.
