The annual Georgetown Christmas Market will take over the adorable mountain town for two weekends -- Dec. 2–3 and Dec. 9–10!

Georgetown is a lovely, feel-good mountain destination every day of the year, but for the first two weekends in December, it transforms into a bustling European-style holiday marketplace. Complete with horse-drawn wagon rides, roasted chestnuts, and appearances by Saint Nicholas himself, the Georgetown Christmas Market capitalizes on Georgetown's already-existent charm, adding twinkling lights, carolers, and outdoor vendors to create a holiday experience you'll love. WHEN: Sat./Sun., Dec. 2–3 | Sat./Sun., Dec. 9–10 | 10 a.m.–5 p.m. WHERE: 6th Street | Historic downtown Georgetown, Colorado COST: Free [gallery columns="2" size="large" ids="27885,27884"] For the 57th year in a row, Coloradans will flock to this quaint mountain village to get their fill of Christmas cheer. In a scene that seems straight out of a Hallmark movie, streets will bustle with happy shoppers sipping hot beverages, and visitors will form a line around the inside of the candy store, patiently waiting to purchase fudge and other favorite treats. While snow gently falls on the town, you can browse through collections of rare books, shop for antiques and holiday ornaments, tour local museums, watch the daily Santa Lucia procession, and enjoy tons of holiday entertainment -- all in the shadow of the surrounding Rocky Mountains. Less than an hour's drive west of the Denver metro area, the Christmas market is a great little day-trip that the whole family will enjoy! Are you sold yet? If not, check out the event's website for more information!
