Ready thyself for nine weekends of pure magic at the Maryland Renaissance Festival 2018!
The Maryland Renaissance Festival is back on August 25, and you’ll be able to participate in all Renaissance-related activities until October 21. Here's what you need to know.
WHEN: Saturdays and Sundays (and Labor Day Monday) | August 25 through October 21, 2018 | 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

COST: Ticket prices vary depending on the kind of package you’re looking to get. From August 25 to September 9, adult tickets cost $19 per person. From September 15 to October 21, prices rise to $26 per adult ticket. There are also discounts for seniors and students, and season passes are available for a bulk purchase. DETAILS: If you've ever wanted to pretend that you live in the Renaissance period, then you won’t want to miss the Maryland Renaissance Festival. Once you buy your tickets and enter the “village,” you’ll enter a completely different world and age: Everyone is wearing period garb, eating period food, and participating in period activities.
If you want to look like you belong, head to the costume rental, where you can pick out your very own Renaissance clothing. You’ll also be able to pick out all the right accessories to fully complete your new look.
Once you’re in costume, wander around and grab some food. You can find an entire list of food vendors here, but get ready for fresh Renaissance "takes" on all your favorite festival grub! As you make your way around the village grounds, you’ll be exposed to all sorts of entertainment, too -- from jugglers to musical performances to acrobats, and much more.
