Mardi Gras District Wharf

To celebrate Fat Tuesday, the District Wharf is holding a festive parade set to the sounds of NOLA, a brass band. Vote for your favorite float as they roll down the pier by texting the number of your favorite float to 501-302-2125! Mardi Gras Extravaganza
WHEN: Tuesday, March 5 | 6-10 p.m.
WHERE: The Showroom | 1099 14th Street NW. Washington, D.C.
The Mardi Gras Extravaganza is about keeping to the real to the cuisine, cocktails, and musical culture of New Orleans. The best part? The proceeds from this event go to D.C. Central Kitchen, an organization that fights hunger in the greater D.C. area. This particular party is all about the food, so be sure to come hungry! For a $55 all-you-can-eat ticket, you get the experience 20+ of the D.C. area's best chefs and Southern-inspired restaurants. Mardi Gras Masquerade
WHEN: Tuesday, March 5 | 7-11 p.m.
WHERE: Dupont Circle Hotel | 1526 New Hampshire Avenue NW, Washington, D.C., 20036
It would not be Mardi Gras without a masquerade ball. The Dupont Circle Hotel is holding a street Mardi Gras-themed party that you won't want to miss. There will be dancing, live music, and Southern-themed drinks and bites with an open bar! Dressing up for the event with an elegant mask is suggested but not required. Clarendon Mardi Gras Parade
The city can't forget the kids, too. Clarendon Mardi Gras is the largest parade celebration in Washington, D.C. The parade features local groups, horses, floats, music, beads, and of course fun! For more information, check out the event here!
