BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - Today will be a pretty decent day for outdoor activities, though it will be breezy. It will be partly sunny with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s. A strong but moisture-starved cold front will come though tonight. Some snow showers are expected along that, with a coating of snow possible. This will leave us with sunny skies for Monday. However, it will be deceptively chilly, with highs only in the mid to upper 40s. Tuesday will start with morning sun, then clouds will increase during the day. It will be much warmer, with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s. Showers are likely Tuesday night into Wednesday. Flooding isn’t expected, but we’ll keep an eye on it. Things could get interesting Wednesday night into Thursday, with a potential return to…yes…wintry weather. Some models are showing unseasonably cold air wrapping into the system, with temperatures cold enough for some snow into Thursday, especially early. A few inches accumulation is possible, even in the valleys. Historically, accumulating snow has occurred in late April and even into mid-May. That said, significant accumulation isn’t expected at this time. We’ll certainly keep an eye on it in the days to come. High temperatures on Thursday will be quite chilly, only in the upper 30s to low 40s, with lows in the 20s and 30s. Much quieter weather is in store for Friday and Saturday, with temperatures warming back up. Highs on Friday will still be on the cool side, around 50 degrees, then we’ll warm well into the 50s for Saturday.
