Wish for Wheels keeps kids moving ahead.

The folks at Audi Denver seem to know that cycling is more than just a hobby -- it's a lifelong love affair that helps keep both our minds and bodies in good health. They also know that for many of us, that love affair started when we got our first bikes as kids. So on May 13, Audi Denver teamed up with Wish for Wheels - a non-profit organization with the vision that every child will one day have a bicycle and be healthier for it- to help fund the cause and perform a bike build. [gallery ids="17125,17126"] We're happy to report that the organization is responsible for providing up to 10,000 new bikes and helmets to kids around the metro throughout the year, and that a portion of all new Audi purchases at Audi Denver contribute to the cause. So if you wish to contribute, all you have to do is get your next Audi at Audi Denver. But let's say you just got a new Audi and still want to help? No problem, customers are invited to help build bikes or give bikes, and they will be holding another bike building event on September 23rd. So, thanks to all of you who attended on May 13th, and those that helped Audi Denver come assemble bikes, 110 kids at Sunrise Elementary were let out of school to descend upon their brand new bikes!
As for Wish for Wheels, the fun doesn't stop there. Wish for Wheels not only provides wheels, but they encourage STEM education through their Beyond the Bell program. The program runs two to three days per week where students are educated in bike safety, wellness, and other STEM subjects. The idea is to instill healthy habits and spark curiosity in STEM subjects.
